A T Shirt / Keepsake Quilts - Custom Design - You supply the T shirts - $50 Deposit

Let QuiltsByDH turn your or your loved one's favorite t shirts, sport jerseys, or other sentimental clothing items into a one of a kind treasured quilt. For a $50 deposit, we will make a design with the items and/or fabrics you provide. Once the design is complete, the exact cost of creating the quilt can be determined. Your deposit will be applied to the cost if we make the quilt.

Two quilt styles are available (see the pictures). 1. Collage style (best for handling many different sized t shirts and pieces) or 2. Individual squares with sashing (best for handling uniformly sized t shirts and pieces).

The quilt top will be completed by stitching all the fabrics together and a border will be added. The batting and backing will be provided and will coordinate with the quilt top. Then an all over edge to edge quilting pattern will bind the three layers together and the edges will be bound with a cotton binding.

$50 Deposit will cover the design of the quilt and can be applied to the final quilt cost - actual cost TBD depending on quilt size and style chosen. See estimated price table below. It typically takes 3 weeks to complete a quilt, though at busy times like the holidays it may take up to 10 weeks -- so please plan accordingly.

Quilt Top, batting, backing and binding Details:

T Shirts and other fabrics - Please make sure all fabrics are laundered and clean. I cannot repair tears or remove spots. A light interfacing will be applied to knit fabrics to help keep their form. Please send the whole piece of fabric or T shirt, we will do the cutting.

Batting: Will be supplied.

Backing and Binding: A coordinated backing and binding material will be provided. You choose between a cotton, flannel, fleece or minky backing. (Minky and fleece at additional cost.) The binding will be cotton.

Thread: I use solid OMNI thread. A coordinating color with be used.

You are responsible to ship all your fabrics to me. I will return ship your completed quilt.
